Dogs of all shapes and sizes and breeds competed in a fun dog show to raise funds for Caister Lifeboat at the weekend.

The event was organised by Charleigh Huggins, a trainer with MAD Dogs Training, and held on the site of the lifeboat charity in Tan Lane on Sunday, May 13.

Andrew Turner, crewman and director of Caister Lifeboat, said: “It was an amazing event, and so well supported. We’ve had so many different breeds, put through their paces, and whether or not they won rosettes, they were all on best behaviour.”

He added: “We would like to thank the Martha’s and District Dog Training Society for putting on the show, they have done a brilliant job.

“And it’s all helping to save lives at sea – which is quite fitting, as we have had several dogs that have swam out too far over the years.”
