CAISTER Middle School years five, six and seven spent three days camping at Whitwell Hall, near Reepham. After last year's wet and muddy weather staff and pupils were delighted with the glorious weather. The children explored country life, cooked on open fires and slept under canvas or in the 270-year-old Whitwell house. Activities included canoeing, archery, boatbuilding, pond dipping, bead crafts, parachute games and rounding up sheep with dogs! All enjoyed the camp fires and camp fire songs which continued to be sung during the following day. Mini camp fires were made to cook fish fingers and baked beans for their tea and they finished off with toasted marshmallows and baked bananas with chocolate filling!
