THE last four weeks have seen Year 7 pupils from Caister Middle School touring Norwich City FC at Carrow Road. As part of their geography studies all four classes have toured, to find out more about the business side of running a football club. They were able to make use of the facilities in the Study Centre where they watched a DVD showing a collection of pictures and video clips showing the history of the club and how it has changed over the years. The youngsters used ICT skills to design a kit and invent a team with some exclusive prizes presented to the winning teams. The afternoon included a guided tour of the ground where they experienced a press call for reporters; sitting in a range of seats at various heights to experience the views; and a communal bath where the whole class could just about fit. The highlight for each class was the hype of the changing rooms before running out of the tunnel to take their places in the dugouts as footballers.
