RESIDENTS of the parishes covered by the Caister and coastal villages Safer Neighbourhood Team are being encouraged to help shape their neighbourhood policing priorities at a public meeting.
The Safer Neighbourhood Action Panel (SNAP) gives residents the opportunity to discuss any issues they may have face to face with their local policing team and partner agencies.
The meeting is on Tuesday April 12 at The Old Hall, Caister-on-Sea from 7pm.
Following consultation, the panel will decide on policing priorities to act upon for the next three months.
People will also be updated on action taken against existing priorities, which are: To clampdown on illegal parking in the bus lane on Yarmouth Road and Prince of Wales Road, to provide crime prevention advice and reassurance over burglaries and cold callers and to target heating oil thefts in Scratby, Caister, Hemsby, Ormesby and Winterton and increase crime prevention awareness.
