AS part of the celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of Caister Lifeboat pupils from the local junior school took a trip to the station this week.
Derek George gave a talk on the history of the lifeboat and the important role it plays in the community.
During a tour the pupils saw the new shed which has been built to house the country's fastest lifeboat. One highlight was when the children were able to try on the crews life jackets and safety equipment.
Caister Lifeboat is the school's logo and Miss Aldous said pupils enjoyed the experience.
