A spring festival has been organised by the St Nicholas Church Preservation Trust to help to repair the church's tower pinnacles and restore its listed organ.
The festival starts in the 12th century church at 6pm tomorrow with a demonstration of flower arranging and a gardening question time by local expert Bill Boardman.
On Friday, General Sir Richard Dannatt will be giving a talk entitled 'A look back, a look forward, reflections on 40 years as a soldier' at the Masonic Royal Assembly Rooms in Albert Square from 7.30pm.
On Saturday the church will be hosting a free exhibition of prints and maps of Yarmouth and displaying church silverware from 10am. Local stonemason Colin Smith and organist John Stephens will also be showing off their skills during the day.
A full choral evensong using the 1662 prayer book will be held in St Nicholas from 6.30pm Sunday.
The final event of the festival is a Take Three Cooks cooking demonstration in the Imperial Hotel from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Monday.
