Can you find a home for these pets in care?

Mr Ferret

Mr Ferret

RSPCA East Norfolk

Pictured are just a few of the many pets currently in the care of local charities, looking for new, loving homes, and featuring in the Mercury's Find Me A Home column.

The Yarmouth Greyhound Homefinders’ featured pet is Smokey. Small for a boy, Smokey has a cheeky expression with an endearing greying face, despite only being three years young. Smokey is a happy and lively character, he is full of fun and just loves to share his affection with everyone. After initial excitement, Smokey walks well on the lead and is friendly towards children and smaller breeds of dogs, he’ll be a great pet. For more information, or to meet Smokey, contact Homefinding Co-ordinator Corinne Douglas, on Homefinders’ local rate call number, 0845 458 3797.

From the East Norfolk branch of the RSPCA we have several cats, including siblings – and a ferret.

Among the cats looking for new, loving homes, are Skipper and Cruise - two seven month old male kittens, super sweet little cats and very cute.

Hansel and Gretel are brother and sister and around nine years old. They are both such lovely friendly cats and are being cared for by the East Norfolk RSPCA. Since being with them it has been found Gretel has a heart problem. Currently she needs no medication for this and it does not affect her. She needs to be rehomed with her brother as they just adore each other.

Geordie is a four year old tabby male who is such a handsome chap. Geordie is lovely and friendly and would be best suited as an only pet in an adult home.

Cherub is a good girl, she is beautiful and so attentive and friendly. Her carers at the East Norfolk branch of the RSPCA say she needs to be the only cat in her new home so she is not bullied. Cherub has been with the charity for a long time and she desperately needs a home to call her own.

And finally, Mr Ferret is looking for a nice forever home. He will need good-sized accommodation with lots to do to keep him busy. He will also need to have several soft places to sleep and snooze.

All the animals are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and up to date with flea and worming. Please visit the website www.rspcaeastnorfolk.co.uk for more details, or call the adoption line on 07867 972870.
