Have you got some disks to add background music to the menu of a theatre café?
Visitors to St George’s café bar at Great Yarmouth are used to seeing a piano among the chairs and tables, which sadly remains silent most of the time.
It is an automated model which can play tunes on its own through an inbuilt hi-tech system.
But it mainly stands silent after the pre-recorded disks that go with it were misplaced.
Theatre director Debbie Thompson said: “The piano is occasionally played by a musician for informal events, but we would like to revive its use for gentle background music too.
“If anyone has any disks in their attic or awaiting a car boot sale which they could donate we would love to use them to entertain our guests.”
The piano is a Yamaha Disklavier MX100ii.
