Car theft foiled

POLICE in Great Yarmouth have arrested two people in connection with an attempted theft.

The arrests were made after officers were called to East Road on Sunday night following reports of people trying to break into a car. After hearing a noise the owner went outside to investigate, disturbing the would-be thieves who fled the scene. Two youths, aged 18 and 16, arrested on suspicion of attempted theft have been bailed until March 1 pending further enquiries.
