Special taster sessions for anyone with no or few qualifications who wants to work with children or in the care industry will be held at Great Yarmouth College next week.

The tasters are for three new short courses to start in February in Caring for Children and Health and Social Care.

They are specifically targeted at potential learners who left school before taking exams or ended up with no qualifications to help them back into learning.

Each course leads on to higher-level programmes with a clear pathway of progression.

Taster sessions will be held next Friday (December 11) between 10am and noon for entry level (E3) health and social care and BTEC level one award and certificate in Caring for Children.

Anyone interested in the courses can attend the taster sessions and be interviewed on the day to start in February.

The Caring for Children Award is a six-week course and the Certificate runs for 11 weeks and each will be completed in time for learners to enrol on full-time courses in September.
