A FORMER manager of a Great Yarmouth sheltered housing block was told today she faces jail after she admitted stealing 14,000 from a vulnerable 89-year-old woman.
Sally Unwin, 44, of Standard Place, Yarmouth, admitted stealing the cash from pensioner Valerie House when she appeared at Norwich Crown Court.
Matthew McNiff, mitigating, said the basis of her plea was that she had stolen in total 14,000.
Her sentence was adjourned for reports until June 24 and Judge Alasdair Darroch warned her that she was facing custody and said: “Thefts of this sort from an elderly victim almost inevitably result in custody”.
