Cash stolen from Caister pub

DRINKERS at a busy Caister pub may hold the key to finding a burglar who broke into the building and stole a large amount of cash.

The suspect entered through the rear of the Green Gate in the High Street and took the cash from a living area between 10.

DRINKERS at a busy Caister pub may hold the key to finding a burglar who broke into the building and stole a large amount of cash.

The suspect entered through the rear of the Green Gate in the High Street and took the cash from a living area between 10.30pm on Friday and 1.30am the next day.

Police say a substantial amount of money was taken by the burglar.

Jon Dack, police spokesman said: “The pub was very busy at the time of the offence.

“Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area between the times stated or from anyone with information in relation to the suspect.”
