The RSPCA is appealing for information after six cats were found dead.The four adult cats and two kittens were discovered by a dog walker on rough ground at the junction of Thieves Lane and Anchor Corner in the Goose Common area of Little Ellingham near Attleborough.

The four adult cats and two kittens were discovered by a dog walker on rough ground at the junction of Thieves Lane and Anchor Corner in the Goose Common area of Little Ellingham near Attleborough.
Their bodies were lying together, 10 feet from the road. It is thought they may have been killed, then thrown over the fence.
The cats were found on Friday, November and 27 are thought to have died some time that week.
They are all black and short-haired and may have come from the same family group. The kittens were just 10 to 12 weeks old.
RSPCA inspector Marc Niepold collected the bodies.
He said: “The bodies were starting to decompose so it is difficult to identify a specific cause of death. They were absolutely soaking wet which may have been due to heavy rain, but there is a possibility of drowning as rain would not normally result in the underneath of the bodies becoming so wet.
“I need to hear from anyone who knows anything about this incident, or from those who might know where the cats came from.”

Anyone found guilty of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal could face a maximum six-month prison sentence and/or a �20,000 fine.
