PARENTS living in the Great Yarmouth area are invited to celebrate the birth of their child by planting a commemorative tree at the borough council's annual Trees for Life ceremony.
PARENTS living in the Great Yarmouth area are invited to celebrate the birth of their child by planting a commemorative tree at the borough council's annual Trees for Life ceremony.
Yarmouth mayor Terry Easter will plant the first tree in the ceremony at 2pm on Thursday, November 27 at Herbert Barnes Park, Cobholm.
Tree and landscape officer Patrick Tabor said: “Parents are welcome to come and watch or take part in the tree planting. If they are not able to attend, their child can still be part of Trees for Life.”
If you have had a baby born between December 2007 and now, you have until November 20 to register.
The meeting place for Trees for Life is the second car park on the road off the bypass leading to Humberstone Farm, Cobholm. For an application form, call Patrick on 01493 846459.
