The Great Yarmouth Dementia Action Alliance is holding an open meeting on Monday, January 29 at the Acorn Centre.
The next alliance members meeting has been opened up to local businesses or organisations who wish to hear more about the group and what it is doing to improve the lives of those living with dementia and their carers.
It is taking place between 10am and noon on the 1st Floor of Age Connected, Acorn Centre, 8-9 Regent Street.
As part of its bid to be recognised as a Dementia Friendly Borough by the Alzheimer’s Society, the alliance is asking businesses to sign up to its action plan.
Businesses who sign up will be provided one hour free training by what are called ‘dementia champions’ for front desk staff to raise their awareness of issues people with dementia face.
Any businesses wanting to sign up can contact Trevor Edwards on 07584 602555 or email Trevor.Edwards@bitcconnect.org
