Changes to concessionary bus travel will come into force tomorrow (April 1), primarily affecting people who travel before 9.30am and those with registered sight difficulties.

From Monday to Friday, free bus travel will now start from 9.30am and end at 11pm.

On some rural services, for example where the only service starts before 9.30am, concessionary passes will still be accepted.

Konect Bus will allow concessionary pass holders to travel at the child rate before 9.30am.

Travel will continue to be free all day at weekends and bank holidays.

In addition, users of Norwich Park and Ride will be charged 1 return if travelling on a Norfolk concessionary travel pass after 9.30am (normal fare applies before 9.30am).

With regard to companion passes, those marked with '+C' show that a companion can travel for free. From tomorrow, the companion will have to pay the normal fare.

Free travel will also no longer be available all day every day for pass holders who are registered blind or partially sighted. Those who are registered blind will receive the same free travel as other pass holders.
