ALL girl teenage band EFX kicked off the nine-day Town Centre Music Festival (TCMF3) to a cheering packed Market Place in Great Yarmouth on Saturday.Organiser Chris Anson said: “Like last year the artists received a warm welcome from the audience who seemed to stay around all afternoon and Sunday went down well too.

ALL girl teenage band EFX kicked off the nine-day Town Centre Music Festival (TCMF3) to a cheering packed Market Place in Great Yarmouth on Saturday.

Organiser Chris Anson said: “Like last year the artists received a warm welcome from the audience who seemed to stay around all afternoon and Sunday went down well too. It is also great to see so much talent here in Great Yarmouth and that gives me personally a great deal of satisfaction.”

Other artists who have been playing a variety of music this week have included Last Paradagm, Dick York, the Rock'n'Roll Rascals and the Jazz Boys.

It has also provided a platform for local schools. There were singing and dancing displays form Ormesby Village First School, Cobholm Primary School and St George's First together with Dusmagrik Young Peoples Theatre Company.

This weekend the line-up includes the star EFX Showtime academy kids, Lynn Grove dancers, Tanya Jones, Anna Ross, Second Hand Blues and winding things up on Sunday night will be Yarmouth favourites Money Spanner.

The Friends Tribute Concert on July 26 features six of the top UK tribute bands featuring the music of The Who, the Cult, Paul Rodgers, David Bowie, Thin Lizzy and Led Zeppelin. The event will run from 11am to 11pm with tickets at £20 for adults and £15 for under 18s.
