A club that encourages children and young people to explore the great outdoors has completed a fundraising hike.
Back to Basics Bushcrafters, a not-for-profit community interest company based in Great Yarmouth, raised £766, which will go towards buying a mini bus.
Jonathan Earle, director and lead instructor, said the minibus would help to the group to “get out there”.
He said: “I instruct up to 400 children a week and we’ve got about nine different clubs that we run. The bus will enable us to go down to the Institute for Outdoor Learning to do bushcrafts, to Bisley to do air rifle shooting where the olympic team are, and just get us out there.”
The club needs to raise £4,000 for the mini bus and will be holding a raffle with £1,200 worth of prizes.
