IT was one amazing day, performing at the Royal Festival Hall before watching Choir of the Year Finals in front of the TV cameras.

Nearly 40 choir members from Stradbroke Community Primary School in Gorleston were selected by the BBC and Sing Up! for an unforgettable visit to the Festival Hall in London this month.

The pupils performed in front to the audience before going in to watch the brilliant finals of the Choir of the Year presented by Aled Jones and a performance by Only Men Aloud. They had been looking forward to the day since September when professional conductor David Lawrence had started off the project at the school.

Stradbroke Community Primary was one of six other schools from round the country selected to take part.
