THE choir from Caister Infant, Nursery School and Children's Centre had real success at the Norfolk County Music Festival on Friday. They were in the Year 2 and below class, along with six other choirs, and were the only choir to be awarded highly commended performance plus. The stage at St Andrew's Hall and the large audience must have been daunting for such young children but they rose to the occasion and sang beautifully. The judge told them their songs had nice contrasts, clear words and “classy singing throughout.” Headteacher Brendan McCarney said: “We were very proud of the children and the way they confidently took to the stage and sang so well. They were a credit to their parents, the school, teacher Miss Hydon, and teaching assistant Mrs Hollowell.”
