The crew of Caister's independent lifeboat station have been given a Christmas present from turkey baron Bernard Matthews.Mr Matthews gave each of the station's 20 crew a turkey in a show of appreciation for the courage and commitment shown by the life-saving volunteers.

Mr Matthews gave each of the station's 20 crew a turkey in a show of appreciation for the courage and commitment shown by the life-saving volunteers.
He has supported the lifeboat station for the last two decades.
Mr Matthews said: “I am proud to be associated with such a great bunch of people. They do a grand job and deserve public support.”
Paul Garrod, chairman of the lifeboat station, said: “We have been receiving turkeys at Christmas time for more than 20 years from Mr Matthews.
“It is a special gift and the crew and their families always look forward to it.”
