Pupils at Hemblington County Primary in Blofield Heath returned from their Easter break this week to discover a professional circus in residence on their school playing field. Based in South Norfolk, Circus Ferrel is an all human show, owned and run by Martin and Lynette Taylor. As well as its regular shows, the circus also offers schools the chance to have its own resident circus for a week.

Jo Francis, chairman of the Friends of Hemblington School, who invited the circus to the school said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for the children and one they'll remember for many years to come. Hemblington Primary is a small rural school and we're thrilled that Circus Ferrel has agreed to come to our village. After a whole school assembly in the big top, the children enjoyed workshop sessions learning a variety of circus skills.”
