CREATOR of the Vampirates series, author Justin Somper, visited Cliff Park Community Middle School to talk to pupils about his work and officially open the new library and ICT Suite.
The writer, who is currently working on the fourth book in the series, answered questions from all pupils in a whole school assembly.
Pupils also had chance to buy copies and Justin was more than pleased to sign all copies purchased on or before the big day.
After assembly, and watched by pupils dressed up as pirates or characters from his books, Justin officially opened the ICT Suite and library, walking the plank and raising the Jolly Roger.
The visit was organised by Marilyn Brocklehurst from Norfolk Children's Book Service.
Michael Walsh, Community Links Teacher, said: “It's quite a thrill to get him to come and talk to us.”
