A boy from Gorleston has hit his first hole in one.
Romer Heywood, eight, has been playing golf for just over a year and has already come close to the perfect hole on numerous occasions.
But on Saturday, the Cliff Park Junior School pupil hit the shot of his dreams on the fourth hole on the main course at Coldecott Hall.
His dad, Scott, took four shots to complete the hole - but that did not stop him celebrating wildly when his son earned the impressive eagle.
He said: “When the ball dropped in I jumped in the air and shouted. I turned to cuddle him and his little eyes filled up totally overcome with emotion. “He had a smile from ear to ear for the rest of the day. Luckily, we joined up with another two men, as the course was busy, so they saw it too.
“I felt very proud and happy for him. He couldn’t wait tell the course pro Mark Tungate.”
