THE children of Cliff Park Junior School put their weight behind the Haiti appeals to raise money to help the victims of the disaster.
Staff and pupils held a “Hat for Haiti” day on Friday and raised more than 200. Everyone who wore a hat to school donated a minimum of 50p. Headteacher Chris Tye said: “The day went well and everyone entered into the spirit of it.”
Mrs Manifold, year 3 co-ordinator, also ensured the choir sang a specially selected song which was dedicated to the victims and families of the disaster. The song was sung in front of the whole school at the Friday assembly.
