The last week of term proved very exciting for Cliff Park Junior School.
The school is working very hard to raise £1,000 for their chosen charity - Nelson’s Journey, a local charity that aims to bring back the smiles of bereaved children. Having already raised £249.50 in two months, the school council decided to hold the popular Easter raffle again to see if they could boost the amount to £400. Astonishingly, this raised £356.41 and was helped by generous donations by Norwich City FC, the Pleasure Beach, Morrisons in Gorleston and The William Adams pub in Gorleston, who placed a donation bucket on their premises for their opening week.
The school council was delighted when £240 was handed to them by John Harrison and Shannon Carr from the newly-opened Weatherspoon pub.
A bake sale was also squeezed in bringing the total so far to £867.
Parents and carers were thanked.
