Coastguards' Acle rescue

Coastguards were called out to help a person who had fallen into water on Friday.

The accident happened at Acle Bridge in Acle, which stands over the River Bure, just before 9pm.

The accident happened at Acle Bridge in Acle, which stands over the River Bure, just before 9pm.

A spokesman for Yarmouth Coastguard said the person had managed to pull themselves out of the water quickly, but was taken to hospital.

Their injuries are not thought to be serious.
