THE children at Cobholm Primary School are going green. The school is trying to become more environmentally friendly and year 4 pupils have recently completed a topic about improving the environment and are now very enthusiastic about reducing, re-using and re-cycling the school's waste. The school now has its own compost bins and the fruit left-overs are being composted each day.
Teacher Karen Lea said: “The children really enjoyed their topic. They are trying to use their new-found knowledge in many ways and composting is just one way. We hope one day to produce our own compost to use in our gardening club!”
