MUSEUM staff in Victorian costume showed toys from the era, including a Victorian dolls' house and clockwork toys, to nursery and reception pupils from Cobholm Primary School.
Learning manager at the grade one listed 16th century merchant's house, Colin Stott, said: “We contrast those toys, with no electric and no batteries, to the sort children play with today.”
The museum will remain fully open while Great Yarmouth Museums works with the National Trust, which owns the building, on replacing plaster damaged in last year's floods.
As well as other school workshops, including ones where children dress up in costume to find out about life in the house in Tudor and Victorian times, a number of family activity days are planned. The next one, on May 28, will allow visitors to create their own clay tiles and stained glass pictures.
