A 22-YEAR-old woman was arrested for possession of a Class A drug after police raided a home on Spruce Avenue in Ormesby St Margaret.

Following intelligence gathered from Caister Safer Neighbourhood Team about anti-social behaviour and drug taking officer obtained a search warrant for a home which was raided on Tuesday by officers from the tactical team from Yarmouth.

A small quantity of cocaine was found and a 22-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Yarmouth police station where she was interviewed and subsequently cautioned before being released.

Caister SNT Sgt Andy Brown said: “I feel that the warrant highlights the importance of community intelligence, information from the community is very important in tackling anti social behaviour and drugs offences. The more information we get from the public about their concerns the more we can develop that information and take positive action as in this case.”
