STUDENTS from Great Yarmouth College discovered the training, risks and high skill level needed for a career as a firefighter in a behind-the-scenes visit to the town's fire station.

STUDENTS from Great Yarmouth College discovered the training, risks and high skill level needed for a career as a firefighter in a behind-the-scenes visit to the town's fire station.

Students on the entry level public services course were shown what it was like to be trapped and rescued from a burning building on a training exercise.

Members of White Watch demonstrated and talked them through procedures to give them a taste of a working life in the fire service.
