A MAN who turned up at the home of an elderly woman in Gorleston made off with at least �500 after telling her he was there to check the electricity.
The man went into the home on Suffolk Road between 1.30pm and 2pm on Saturday wearing polythene gloves. Once the man had left the woman realised her jewellery had been rifled through and that the cash in an envelope had been stolen.
The man was described as white man, 5ft 4, of stocky build, with little hair, possibly brown, and wearing a blue jumper and black trousers.
