A music day in Gorleston, which in the last four years has raised almost £13,500 for local charities, takes to the stage again this weekend.

And a recent sponsored bike ride, walk and a beard shave raised over £2,200 which pushed that running total well over £15,000.

The fun-filled music extravaganza on Sunday at The Dock Tavern, in Dock Tavern Lane, next to Morrisons car park in Gorleston starts at noon.

This year money raised will be going equally to the Louise Hamilton Centre, which is based within the JPH hospital grounds but is self-funding, and Sunbeams Play, a new out of school centre for children and young people under the autistic spectrum and based on Gapton Hall Road.

The day starts at noon outside in the garden and the bands and artists freely giving their talent and time this year are Missunderztood, Mother Black Cap, Dirty Dog, Half Cream and Sideshow (Steemy) Dan.

In the evening there is an indoor acoustic session with R4 and Tosh to complete the day.

Money is raised from the sale of wristbands and a drinks raffle on the day.
