A couple who decided to screen England’s quarter final at their wedding are treasuring a memorable day.
Caister couple Matthew and Christina Tattersall got married at Great Yarmouth Town Hall on Saturday and decided to screen the match during their wedding ceremony.
The pair first met in Doncaster aged 13 and were recently reacquainted at last year’s Great Yarmouth motorbike festival.
Mr Tattersall, 44, said: “Christina’s family are massive football fans, so we knew people would have their phones watching it on silent or hiding earphones, so we just thought we’d tell people they could watch it.
“England scored their second goal just as we sat down to sign the register and it came with a massive cheer.
“It was a great day and a great game and it all mixed together perfectly.
“I tried to convince Christina to let me wear a sequined England tie for the game, but she wasn’t having any of it.”
