THREE winners of a special fireworks picture competition are pictured with Paul Garrod, chairman of Caister Lifeboat, and Mrs Diane Brooks, Deputy Head of Caister Infant, Nursery School and Children's Centre.
The Friends' Association arranged for all the children to take part in the competition and Paul donated three prizes to the winning entries. The children paid 50p for a piece of black paper and were tasked to create a firework scene.
More than 100 wonderful works of art were returned after half-term, raising at least 50 for the school. Paul judged the competition and congratulated the children in the Achievement Assembly last Friday, for the fantastic pictures they had produced. He said he had found it very difficult to pick just three winners and gave all children in the school a Caister Lifeboat pencil.
