CAISTER Junior School celebrated Book Week in Roald Dahl fashion. Pupils were encouraged to bring in Dahl books and share reading these books with different year groups during dedicated reading sessions.
CAISTER Junior School celebrated Book Week in Roald Dahl fashion. Pupils were encouraged to bring in Dahl books and share reading these books with different year groups during dedicated reading sessions. A challenge was set to create a Dahl style story as props and pictures were passed randomly from class to class to where pupils added their contribution to the adventures of …… A non school uniform day saw teachers and children dress as characters from Matilda, The Twits, The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, The Enormous Crocodile, The Witches and Fantastic Mr Fox. Head teacher Coral Brinklow (dressed as one of The Witches) said: “It has been amazing how the children have transformed into Oompa-Loompas, The Twits and all the characters Dahl created in his famous books. The children especially enjoyed seeing the staff join in the fun, dressing up to entertain them!”
