Arts organisation SeaChange Arts is launching regular tea dances with the Ragroof Players at their Drill House venue in Great Yarmouth.

The Ragroof Players’ DJs play music from the 1920s to the 1950s to help get people tripping the light fantastic to vintage dances like the Charleston, Waltz, Mambo, Jive and Swing.

With an inclusive approach to their dance events that welcomes experienced and novice dancers alike, Ragroof help coach participants through a number of classics dances from yesteryear.

SeaChange’s senior producer, Veronica Stephens, said: “Everyone is welcome. No partner needed. Ragroof’s unique approach to partner dancing encourages everyone to learn the steps of both lead and follow, rather than be dictated to by gender.”

The Drill House Tea Dances launch on Saturday, March 24 between 2-5pm with subsequent events on April 28 and May 12. Tickets are £5, available at www.seachangearts.org.uk
