Jane was awarded first place with her contemporary solo, second place for her ballet solo, and third with her song and dance solo. Katie came first with her ballet solo and her classical improvisation, second with her modern solo, and third with her modern improvisation. The pupils also did well with their duet work, taking second place in each group for their ballet and modern duets, and third place for their tap duet. Katie was also awarded the Janice Fullman Cup which is given to the most promising competitor at the festival. Principal of The Dancers School, Jayne King, said: “They are hardworking pupils who really love their dancing, and that comes through in their performances and the way in which they work and rehearse together.”
