A dog owner has denied allowing her springer spaniel to go dangerously out of control and bite a man in his 80s on the leg.

Victoria Alexander's dog Elsie is alleged to have attacked Samuel Bradbury on a footpath by the railway station in Reedham, near Yarmouth, on October 8 last year.

Alexander, 50, of Broadland Close, Reedham, appeared at Yarmouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday to deny an offence under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. She was bailed until January 20 for a pre-trial hearing and her solicitor Rob New said they would be calling evidence from an animal psychologist.
