THE deadline is approaching for views to be submitted on the future of day care services in Norfolk.
A three month public consultation on proposed changes to in-house day centres comes to an end on Monday.
The plan includes providing more dementia care at Humberstone House, Gorleston and The Lawns in Great Yarmouth.
Adult social services would concentrate on providing for dementia sufferers with independent and voluntary organisations offering day services for frail elderly people.
People in Norfolk are living longer and over the next 15 years the number of dementia sufferers over 85 is expected to increase by 50pc. A final report will be presented to the county council Cabinet in June before a decision is made whether to go ahead with the changes.
