Fundraising and donations have enabled a defibrillator to be installed in a secure cabinet on the outside of Great Yarmouth Library.

Recently, the Friends of Great Yarmouth Library together with the Growing Together Gardening Group invited Yarmouth Lions and Yarmouth Haven Rotary Club to see the new installation.

The Library was gifted a defibrillator some time ago but it was kept in an office and only available during opening times.

The Friends and the Growing Together groups, led by Grace Edwards who recently won a Norfolk County Council Outstanding Contribution Award for her volunteering work, went networking, resulting in donations from both the Lions and Rotary securing over £800.

The installed defibrillator is registered with the ambulance service.
