Two water pipes have burst in Caister Road in Great Yarmouth.
The road was completely closed off last night near Yarmouth Stadium while repairs took place.
The closure near the stadium is now open, but is down to one lane in both directions.
The road is also closed before Barnard Crescent, with diversions via Jellicoe Road, Beatty Road and Barnard Avenue.
A spokesperson for Essex and Suffolk Water said the closures could remain in place tomorrow.
He said: “We are currently repairing two burst water mains in close vicinity on Caister Road, Great Yarmouth. Crews attended and isolated both bursts yesterday evening, with further repair work taking place today. While repairs are being completed customers may experience low water pressure, and we thank those affected for their patience at this time.
“Caister Road is currently closed in both directions near to the junction with Barnard Crescent, with a diversion route in place. There is also a two-lane contraflow in place close to the Greyhound Stadium on Yarmouth Road. Once repairs have been completed reinstatement work will be required to the carriageway, which means the closures may be in place into tomorrow. We apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
Great Yarmouth Racecourse have advised visitors to allow extra time ahead of the races today, with gates opening at noon.
