A mini sports day and cupcake baking were just two activities that more than 100 pupils enjoyed at a summer school in Gorleston.
The Ormiston Venture Academy summer school which is now in its sixth year is designed to help with the transition of students from year six to seven.
121 new year seven students attended a wide range of sessions across the week beginning 20 August.
The sessions on offer included making bath bombs in science, a mini sports day, trying new sports such as cheerleading as well as baking cupcakes and sausage rolls in cookery classes.
Pupils were able to familiarise themselves with their new school environment whilst taking part in fun activities.
English teacher, Poppy Thompson, who oversaw the organisation of the summer school, said: “It was amazing to get to know so many of our new year seven’s throughout the week.
“The students and staff had a great time in the sessions and are really looking forward to the new year at Venture”
