FOUR members of the crew of Hemsby Inshore Rescue Service have received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. Around 450,000 have been issued on behalf of the Queen to honour the dedication and service of people in the public sector who have completed five years active service. They are Ross Hewitt coxswain, Daniel Hurd, Darren Parker and Stewart Lenton.

A spokesman for the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, said: “The Diamond Jubilee medals are issued on behalf of Her Majesty as a mark of thanks to those in key front line services. It is recognition of the special contributions people are making and have made over the years.”
