Many beaches prohibit dog walking in certain areas between May and September. We’ve listed a few of the best beaches where you can walk your dog with no restrictions this summer.

Old Hunstanton

Much quieter than Hunstanton and with none of the restrictions. You can walk your dog on Old Hunstanton beach to your heart’s content. There are also a couple of dog friendly pubs you can pop into when you and your pet are tired from all that walking, including The Ancient Mariner Inn and The Lodge Inn.

Waxham

A lesser known beach in north Norfolk. Great for dogs, who are welcome all year round with no restrictions. Waxham beach sits in an area of outstanding natural beauty, so there’s lots for you to enjoy as well as your dog.

Great Yarmouth South

While Great Yarmouth’s main beach has dog restrictions in the summer months, you’re free to walk your dog on Great Yarmouth’s southern beach all year round. You can find this quieter beach to the south of Wellington Pier and the Pleasure Beach.

Holkham

This beach is dog friendly with no restrictions in the summer months. Keep in mind that parts of the beach are within the Holkham National Nature Reserve, so be sure to follow the costal code and keep your pet under close supervision.

Caister-on-Sea

This long beach on the east coast is perfect for exercising energetic dogs. It’s quieter that some of the nearby beaches and has no restrictions.
