A THUG has been jailed for 12 months after he admitted attacking a man on his doorstep in Gorleston.
Scott Wallis, of Selwyn Road, Gorleston, was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court for assault occasioning actual bodily harm after pleading guilty to the offence at an earlier hearing. Wallis, 22, punched and kicked the victim causing a cut to his head during the attack at Hingley Close, Gorleston last December. Investigating officer PC Richard Huckle said: “This was a very nasty assault which happened at the victim’s home address and was witnessed by his partner.
“The custodial sentence demonstrates that violent behaviour will not be tolerated and those involved in incidents can expect robust action from the police and courts.”
