The execution of a warrant followed information received from the public and was carried out by officers on shift 5 at the town’s police station.

A large amount of cannabis and money was said to be discovered. The man was released under police investigation

It was the last act the shift carried out, having started earlier yesterday on calls and patrols.

TThe arrest was mentioned in a series of tweets from the shift 5 officers, which included other incidents they were called out to yesterday.

One of the incidents was a house fire in Magnolia Green in Gorleston, which was put out quickly and saw no one hurt.

Another tweet also said domestic incidents, traffic issues and concerns for safety made up the majority of the demand on the shift team, which also had to send multiple units to deal with what was described as a public order offence, with officers arresting one suspect.
