A Gorleston woman has been campaigning to bring more defibrillators to Norfolk after her father died suddenly in a city centre.
Laura Albon’s father died following a cardiac arrest in Gentleman’s Walk in Norwich in 2012, and in December 2017 she decided to start fundraising to bring more defibrillators to Norfolk.
Mrs Albon met This Morning’s Eamonn Holmes on his radio show, and now has two defibrillators to be placed around the UK after he made a donation to the cause.
The Gorleston resident, said: “I run a website where £5 of every purchase is donated to a defibrillator fund, so I went on Eamonn’s show to talk about it.
“After the show, he donated £300 personally to the fund, and off the back of the show another individual has donated a defibrillator.”
Mrs Albon, 34, has already raised enough awareness to have a machine installed in the city centre, but wants to add another.
Mrs Albon’s site is called my one heart.
