A charity ride for families and seasoned cyclists alike will be setting off from Great Yarmouth next weekend.
The Tour de Broads Spring starts from the Sealife Centre at Marine Parade on Sunday, May 6, with a choice of routes ranging from 25 to 100 miles.
The event is being organised by the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) in partnership with Pedal Revolution, with a second event being staged from Whitlingham Broad on August 19.
Anyone who commits to raising £150 for EAAA through the ride will receive a place free of charge, and each participant will be rewarded with a free ice cream or chips and commemorative medal at the finish line.
EAAA’s captain Steve Norris, who will be taking part in both events, said: “I am a keen cyclist myself, so taking part in this event and helping to raise the profile of the charity was an easy decision. I’m really looking forward to cycling alongside all the EAAA supporters.”
