More than 70 East Coast College students from a range of courses, including care, animal care, hair and beauty, art and catering, attended a four day trip at Kingswood in Overstrand.
During the trip the students took part in many challenges and activities, including climbing, bush-craft building, obstacle challenges.
The students have just completed phase 2 of the National Citizen Service process and were lucky enough to have visits from many organisations, including Safe Haven First Response, the Fire Service, Caister Lifeboats, The Royal British Legion and the Terrence Higgins Trust, who taught the students about things like first aid, CV writing, healthy eating and much more.
As part of the phase 2 the students also took part in fun team challenges including marketing a new product and the great marble run
Phase 3 of this process, the Social Action Project, is about to start and as part of this the students will complete 30 hours of voluntary work raising money for their chosen charities.
East Coast College tutor, Holly Chase, said: “We are very proud of the students that overcame personal challenges. The trip also allowed the friendships that were formed on the trip to grow and strengthen.”
